Meizu 17 key specs and live images leak; punch-hole display revealed

Meizu is gearing up to celebrate its 17th anniversary with the release of a new smartphone named Meizu 17. It will be a 5G-capable smartphone that will be unveiled sometime in April. The exact launch date is unknown for now but we have started to see rumor mill reveal various important details about the phone. The latest round of leaks includes key specifications and an alleged real-life photo of the device.

Starting with the photo, it shows only a portion of the smartphone. It is from the right side where one can see rounded corners, a WiFi icon, a 5G icon, and a punch-hole for the front camera. The interesting part is that the punch-hole has a Green ring around it that is showing the battery level. This is something that can be achieved using third-party apps but Meizu seems to be offering it natively. Next to the ring, you can see the exact battery level which is 80% in the leaked photo.


The Meizu 17 is reported to sport a 6.4-inch to 6.5-inch Full HD+ display. The exact display panel is currently unknown but it is said to offer a 90Hz refresh rate and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The choice of processor is Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 that is paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. There is 128GB UFS 3.0 storage but there could be more options as well.

The whole package is reportedly powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. There will also be 30W wireless fast charging compatibility. This is what is known about Meizu 17 at the moment.
