Samsung is reportedly developing One UI 2.5, the details of which are currently unknown. The information has been surfaced from Samsung Community forum in South Korea where a moderator has reportedly confirmed that Samsung is developing One UI 2.5. The first device to come with the One UI 2.5 is said to be the yet-to-come Galaxy Note 20. But we do expect it to see it coming out of the box in some upcoming Galaxy A-series as well.
It is unknown what new features the One UI 2.5 will bring but according to the forum moderator, the upcoming software will bring Google’s UI navigation gestures to third-party app launchers, something which is not yet available with the One UI 2.0 or One UI 2.1.
Recently, the new Galaxy S20 series came pre-installed with One UI 2.1, the latest in the order after the upcoming One UI 2.5. Currently, all the smartphones and tablets from Samsung that run Android 10 use the One UI 2.0 and older devices are now getting the One UI 2.0 as well.
It’s great news for those who use third-party launchers on their Samsung devices running Android 10.
