As we are only three days away from the Huawei launch event, reliable tipster Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) has collaborated with 91Mobiles to share Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro detailed specifications. The report covers all the crucial details about both smartphones but there is also a separate leak that claims to be showing phone camera samples.
The Huawei P40 Pro is reported to be the best of the duo due to obvious reasons. It will sport a 6.58-inch curved display with no words on panel type and resolution. The choice of processor will be HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G that will make it a 5G smartphone. Just like previous P-series phones, the upcoming series will also be heavily focused on camera performance.
It will come with a Leica Ultra Vision quad-camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The other three sensors are reported to be a 40-megapixel secondary sensor, a 12-megapixel sensor, and a ToF sensor. The telephoto sensor in the setup will be capable of providing up to 50x SuperSensing Zoom. The cameras will be powered by AI capabilities including Huawei XD Fusion Engine to auto-enhance photos. It will further have dual selfie cameras featuring a 32-megapixel main camera and a depth sensor.
The whole package will be powered by a 4,200mAh battery with 40W fast charging support. The report mentions 27W wireless charging support as compared to previously rumored 40W wireless charging. All other things including RAM and storage options are currently unknown about the Pro variant.
As for the standard Huawei P40, it is reported to sport a smaller 6.1-inch punch-hole display. The choice of processor will be the same but there will only be a triple camera setup. It will have a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 16-megapixel secondary sensor, and an 8-megapixel third sensor with 30x zoom and Huawei XD Fusion Engine. The battery capacity will also be smaller at 3,800mAh.
Lastly, here are the leaked Huawei P40 Pro camera samples:
