Amazon Prime Video has finally added Netflix-like multiple user profiles option so that you could set up your watchlist better. Different profiles allow you to make your own watchlist and get personalized recommendations. You just have to set up profiles of your family members or friends so that they can also make a list of favorites and get some great recommendations to watch.
The same feature comes as a default with Netflix but Amazon Prime Video is bringing it only now. Amazon first started rolling out Prime Video profiles feature to select users last week and now, it is rolling out widely and to everyone. The new feature allows you to add up to six user profiles (1 default profile + 5 additional profiles either adult or Kids) within Prime Video on a single Amazon account.
Just like the personal recommendations, each profile gets watch history, season progress, and more based on an individual profile.
Here’s how to build multiple profiles on Prime Video and manage them.
The official announcement notes that the new multiple profile feature is not yet available to every country. Also, Amazon said that the profiles feature will not be available for Alexa devices with a screen. Living Room Devices (except Chromecast, Apple Gen 2/3 models) and Fire Tablet Gen 9 tablets and below.
