Redmi 9 is apparently on its way to launch as the first leak on the same has arrived. A close-up of the rear panel of the alleged device has been shared by a known tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore on Twitter. The image is pretty much clear to tell you that there four rear cameras on the phone.
The tipster has even shared the configuration of these alleged cameras. According to the tweet, the main sensor is 13MP, followed by an 8MP ultra-wide, a 5MP macro unit, and a 2MP depth sensor. These cameras are lineup in a way similar to what we see on the Redmi K30/Poco X2. Clearly, this entry-level phone is getting a good upgrade.

Also, the tipster claims the alleged Redmi 9 is coming with Purple and Green color options. According to tipster’s intel, the Redmi 9 is going to be powered by MediaTek Helio G80 processor, which is the same processor that empowers the Realme 6i as well.
There is one more major similarity between the Realme 6i and the yet-to-come Redmi 9. The Realme 6i also came with quad rear cameras, though the main camera is 48MP, so on paper, the device does beat the Redmi 9 but loses in macro as it comes with 2MP vs 5MP of Redmi 9’s.
Currently, it is unknown how the Redmi 9 looks like from the front. For comparison, Realme 6i has a waterdrop-notch with a 6.5-inch display.
We expect to hear more about the Redmi 9 in the coming days. So, let’s just wait for it.
