UPDATE (May 13th, 2020)

As per a new SamMobile report, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G will arrive in a new Brown color as well. This new color will be made available in addition to the Black and Purple color variants. The report does not offer any render and any other details about the new color variant but we should expect more details in the future.

Original (April 7th, 2020)

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, a new kind of foldable phone has come in the era when Samsung is taking a big transition towards 5G. But, unfortunately, the phone couldn’t become part of this evolution. While bringing new tech to the market, Samsung is also busy taking good advantage of 5G networks and that is why it is bringing more and more 5G capable phones.

The Galaxy Z Flip didn’t launch with 5G support but reportedly it may soon get a 5G variant now. Folks over at SamMobile have learned that Samsung will bring a 5G variant of its Galaxy Z Flip foldable smartphone as well, however, there is no tentative date as of now.

Why Samsung didn’t make available the 5G support with the Galaxy Z Flip is unknown but all decisions go strategically. It is possible that Samsung wanted to offer both LTE and 5G variants of the Z Flip phone, or the company may not be ready before due to so many other crucial factors, including price and battery life. The LTE version doesn’t go heavier on battery life as well as the pockets. It is likely that Samsung has now measured the users’ interest towards the Galaxy Z Flip and is now ready to launch a 5G variant as well.

It is also possible that many potential buyers didn’t finally make the purchase because the device lacked the 5G support, thus Samsung is now fulfilling the demands. It is unknown when the Galaxy Z Flip 5G will arrive.
