OnePlus 6/6T OxygenOS Open Beta 6 brings March security patch

OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T phones have also started receiving the March security patch 2020 after their respective successors started gaining. The two phones receive the latest security patch from OxygenOS Open Beta updates. They both receive the Open Beta 6 that also brings optimizations and improvements.

Notably, the update doesn’t bring any new features but does work on bugs and fixes them. And, the fixes and optimizations are reportedly only related to System.

The update has been spotted on Reddit by Oxygen Updater users and the confirmation from OnePlus is yet to come. The update fixes the crash issue in the Launcher with apps in full-screen display mode. Below is the complete changelog.

System

  • Now unlock the LockBox without any problems in File Manager
  • No more crashes in the Launcher with apps in full-screen display
  • Got rid of blank screens while clearing up the background apps
  • Updated Android Security Patch to 2020.03

The size of the OxygenOS Open Beta 6 for the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T is 125MB only which means it doesn’t bring anything significant. The OTA update should roll out to the users in the coming days.

Previously, the OxygenOS Open Beta 5 for the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T phones brought the work-life balance features to Indian users, Zen Mode v1.5.0, and many features as well.
