Nubia has launched a new gaming smartphone named Nubia Play 5G in China. It is essentially a mid-range smartphone with 5G capabilities but also packs features aimed at gamers. It has a high refresh rate display panel and a big capacity battery for longer battery life among others.

The Nubia Play 5G sports a 6.65-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) bezel-less display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It is the second smartphone after the Nubia Red Magic 5G to feature such a high refresh rate display. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 5G processor coupled with 6GB and 8GB of RAM. The onboard storage options include 128GB and 256GB.

The phone has four cameras on the back featuring a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is a 12-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and attending video calls.

One of the good things about the phone is its battery capacity which is 5,100mAh. It should help you get longer gaming sessions without worrying about charging the device. It even supports 30W PD fast charging for times when you actually need to plug it in. It will be running Nubia UI 8.0 based on Android 10 out of the box.
