Google has rolled out May 2020 Android security update for its Pixel devices. The security patch is now available from the Pixel 2 on up through the Pixel 4. Both OTA and factory images are available to get the update right.
Referring to this month’s bulletin, the security patch brings nothing new in terms of features, though there are fixes included for some general or known bugs. The security patches primarily secure your phones from any potential threat and it is not necessary that a new feature is included every time.
Below are the build numbers for Pixel devices to which the update is coming –
- Pixel 2(XL): (QQ2A.200501.001.A3, QQ2A.200501.001.B3)
- Pixel 3 (XL): (QQ2A.200501.001.A3, QQ2A.200501.001.B2)
- Pixel 3a (XL): (QQ2A.200501.001.A3, QQ2A.200501.001.B2)
- Pixel 4 (XL): (QQ2A.200501.001.A3, May 2020, QQ2A.200501.001.B2)
Note that the builds appended with A3 are for Taiwan carriers and the B2 and B3 are for other countries.
