Ross Young, CEO and founder of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), has been very vocal about Galaxy Note 20 details. He has already leaked display panel technical details and now, he is back with newly leaked information in a video shared by YouTube channel Greggles TV. Let's have a look at everything he talked about in the video.
Both Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Plus are said to come with a new in-display fingerprint scanner tech. It will be Qualcomm's 3D Sonic Max which is a second-generation tech and was announced last year. It offers 17 times bigger fingerprint detection area and is capable of detecting two fingers at once. It should also be faster at recognizing fingerprints for authentication.
Samsung introduced a centered punch-hole with the Galaxy Note 10 release last year. It is claimed to continue with the same design this year as well. The Galaxy Note 20 series is further said to have up to 16GB of RAM which will be higher than the predecessor. Similarly, battery capacity will also see a bump that is claimed to be between 4,000mAh and 5,000mAh.
Lastly, the Galaxy Note 20 series is expected to get official around the same timeline of August and September. The interesting bit of detail is that the next-gen phablet will arrive alongside the Galaxy Fold 2.
