Nubia Red Magic 5G Transparent Edition is now up for pre-orders

20 May 2020 0

Nubia Red Magic 5G gaming smartphone that was unveiled in March has received a new Transparent Edition. The phone was first made available in Black, Mars Red, and Cyber Neon color options and now a fourth option is getting added to the club as well.

Note that the Transparent Edition was initially introduced during the same event where the company unveiled the standard model but it is now only getting available for pre-orders in China for CNY 4,599 ($654). The edition is available only in the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version.

The Transparent Edition doesn’t have a transparent back. It is rather a sticker or a well-stuck theme that offers a transparent effect on the back of the device. The sticker showcases where the key components and other internals of the device are located.

The key specifications of the Nubia Red Magic 5G remain the same –

  • 6.65-inch (1080 × 2340 pixels) Full HD+ 19.5:9 AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate
  • 2.84GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 865 SoC with Adreno 650 GPU
  • 12GB LPDDR5 RAM
  • 256GB (UFS 3.1) internal memory
  • Android 10 with Redmagic OS
  • 64MP rear camera with Sony IMX686 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, PDAF, 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide lens, 2MP macro camera
  • 12MP front-facing camera
  • In-display fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack
  • 4500mAh battery with 55W fast charging
  • 5G NSA & SA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz + 5.8GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C

The pre-orders are live at JD.com and the actual flash sale is scheduled for May 31. Nubia also launched the highest model with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage during the official launch of the Red Magic 5G but there is no word on its availability as of now.
