A new Asus phone has briefly stopped at Geekbench and Wi-Fi Alliance as well to reveal certain things about itself. Both the stations have listed the same model number which is Asus_I003DD. It is assumed that the model number belongs to yet-to-come ROG Phone 3, considering the pattern it is following.
Asus’ second-gen gaming phone had a model number I1001Dx, so the spotted model number is presumably hinting at successor called the ROG Phone 3, though we would wait for more details to join soon and confirm the name clearly. Well moving on with the things currently available.
The GeekBench listing shows the Asus I003DD is powered by an octa-core processor and we discern it to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC since ROG phone series carries high-end chipsets. The GeekBench listing further confirms the alleged ROG Phone 3 has 8GB RAM and it runs Android 10 operating system.
The same phone is spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance certification platform as well. It shows the alleged ROG Phone 3 is carrying Qualcomm’s QCA6390 chipset for connectivity and 2x2 dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Direct, and Miracast support.
There are no prior details available on the ROG Phone 3 except the fact that Google Stadia will come pre-installed on it.
Both the respective platforms come as evidence that the ROG Phone 3 does exist and it could launch this year.
