Asus apparently has confirmed when its two most-awaited phones – Zenfone 7 and the ROG Phone 3 will launch. Reportedly, in an interview, Asus Co-CEO Hu Shubin has confirmed that the Zenfone 7 and ROG Phone 3 will be launched towards the end of the second quarter or early in the third quarter of 2020. This is the wide launch timeframe and we can’t tell exactly when Asus plans to bring these two phones to the market, though expect them to come around July this year.
The executive revealed no other details and the leaks on the Zenfone 7 are almost non-existent. The only leak that surfaced back in February hinted at the possible design of the device. It was a low-res render, revealing the cameras set up and a bit about how it looks.
If the leak is true, we would see Zenfone 7 carrying a triple camera, all housed inside a rectangular module. Overall, the camera module is protruding from the back panel. Below to this module is the fingerprint scanner.
Coming to the ROG Phone 3 which is going to be a gaming phone, there are a few details that have come out early. Recent Geekbench and Wi-Fi Alliance have revealed 8GB RAM, Android 10 for the phone. Google Stadia will also come preinstalled on it.
According to the report, Asus is also expecting a 30-50% growth in sales for its upcoming gaming smartphone.
At the Snapdragon Tech Summit last year, Qualcomm announced the list of phones coming with its Snapdragon 865 processor and Zenfone 7 and ROG Phone 3 are listed on them as well.
