Xiaomi Redmi 10X series has gone official in China after being part of several leaks and speculations. The series includes two phones – the Redmi 10X and the Redmi 10X Pro phones, both of which are powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 820 chipset.
Together with them, Xiaomi has announced the 4G version of the Redmi 10X as well and it comes powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It is considered to be the rebranded Redmi Note 9.
Let’s just first talk about the 5G Redmi 10X and the Redmi 10X Pro. Both the phones feature the same 6.57-inch display with 2,400x1,080 pixels resolution. They both house in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi 10X Pro sports a quad rear camera setup and the Redmi 10X has triple rear cameras. Both the setups include 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The remaining cameras, however, are different. The Redmi 10X Pro carries an 8MP 3x telephoto camera (with 30x digital zoom, 5x hybrid zoom, and OIS), and a 5MP macro sensor. On the other hand, the remaining third sensor on the Redmi 10X is a 2MP depth sensor.
The Redmi 10X Pro has a 20MP selfie camera housed inside a waterdrop notch and it is capable of recording120fps slow-mo clips. The standard Redmi 10X holds a 16MP front camera.
Xiaomi has also added a new automatic watermarks feature to the new phones. This means the phones will add watermarks depending on what’s in the picture like cats, flowers, or locations.
