In an already crowded market of streaming services, we now have a new player called HBO Max. It is essentially the third streaming service from HBO which also offers HBO Now and HBO Go. The new service brings everything that was promised late last year and can now be subscribed to by anyone in the United States.
HBO Max is loaded with everything that HBO has to offer along with additional content from WarnerMedia Group brands and original content exclusive to the platform. The official blog post claims that the service offers content worth over 10,000 hours that includes both movies and TV shows. Some of the noteworthy titles include Game of Thrones, Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Westworld, Pretty Little Liars, Doctor Who, Joker, Wonder Woman, The Lord of the Rings, Crazy Rich Asians, Casablanca, The Wizard of Oz, and Rick and Morty.
If you are confused about differences between HBO Max and HBO Now, then you should know that both of these are essentially the same service. They are even priced the same i.e. $14.99 per month. This is the reason all of Now customers will get a free upgrade to the Max streaming service. Even the HBO Now app will get updated to HBO Max on supported devices.
One of the major differences between HBO's new streaming service and HBO Go is that the new one does not require users to pay for cable subscriptions. It also offers a larger catalog than the Go. If you are from the U.S. and would like to try out HBO Max, you can do so by visiting the website or smartphone app. It comes with a free trial for a period of seven days.
