The team behind the Stadia game streaming service has made a new announcement where it has talked about new things coming to the platform. The biggest change is that Google Stadia is finally receiving support for 1440p resolution. It has further announced new game titles as well as PUBG Ranked Mode for users.
As we said in the beginning, 1440p support is the most noteworthy addition to the platform. Google originally released Stadia with 1080p and 4K resolutions with no in-between. It means if a user had a 1440p display, they had no choice but to settle for 1080p streaming. The new addition will allow such users to have a high-resolution gaming experience as long as they fulfill all 4K requirements.
These requirements include a valid Stadia Pro subscription and a high-speed internet connection. Google recommends a minimum internet speed of 35Mbps. It goes without saying that streaming in a higher resolution will also result in higher data consumption. This is the reason we would suggest you proceed only after ensuring that you either have unlimited internet connectivity or a good enough data cap.
Next up, PUBG players on Stadia will have access to the Ranked Mode. It is a new mode where 64 players will battle it out with each for the coveted Chicken Dinner. There will be no Red zone, zero bots in the mode, and focus will be on making the best loot available more easily. All the players will receive rewards on the basis of their performance but it should be noted that the mode is accessible only for those who play with a controller.
The newly added Stadia games are Jotun: Valhalla Edition, Sundered: Eldritch Edition, MK11: Aftermath, and The Crews 2: Hobbies that are available for download and play. There is another title named The Elder Scrolls Online which will become available from June 16th.
