iQOO Neo 3 gets new color and video frame rate enhancing feature

01 June 2020 0

iQOO Neo 3 5G smartphone that went official in China in April has reportedly received a new color option now. The new color is Polar Day White edition and as the fancy name suggests the iQOO Neo 3 5G now comes in White color as well. At the time of launch, it was announced in black and blue color options and now the white color joins as the third option.

Alongside the new color option, the phone also gets a new feature so as to make the video playback smoother than before. iQOO has added the video insert frame technology which basically adds frames in a video so that it plays smoothly on the display.

iQOO Neo 3 supports 144Hz display which means it is highly suitable for playing some high-end games. But with the new feature, iQOO wants to make your every experience as smooth as it can be. This is why the manufacturer is now enabling a good feature that inserts the frame by making estimations. For instance, if you are watching a 30fps video on a 60Hz supported device then the experience may not be good as the video would jitter. This is because your 60Hz panel is refreshing 60 times a second but your video does not have those many frames to display.

So, here the new feature comes into play as it can bump up the video to 60fps so that it runs smoothly on the 60Hz device. This technology is called the MEMC but iQOO may not have made the mention of it. The technology will render two frames in between the video’s frame to make up for those many missing frames that the videos do not encounter any choppy visuals.
