MIUI 12 stable beta released for Mi 9, Mi 9T, Redmi K20 series

03 June 2020 0

Xiaomi promised to begin MIUI 12 beta rollout for the first batch of devices starting June. The month has begun and delivering on its promise, Xiaomi has started MIUI 12 beta release for eligible devices. These include the Mi 9, Mi 9T, Mi 9T Pro, Redmi K20, and Redmi K20 Pro.

All of these are the latest flagships of Xiaomi's Mi and Redmi brands respectively. These beta builds are supposed to be a lot more stable than early beta releases. Many times, pubic beta builds are what get released as stable versions to all the users around the world. But still, these are beta versions and may have bugs and performance issues that could affect your device significantly.

This is the reason it is suggested that one should not install the beta build on their main devices. There have been incidents in the past where a certain bug renders the device unusable. Sometimes the issue can even result in the device becoming unable to boot up. As a result, we would recommend you install these beta builds only if you have a spare device.

The build should become available for you over the air if you are already a beta tester. If you are not, you can choose to download the update zip file and go for manual installation. However, you might be needed to have a valid Mi account to get the update process completed.
