Honor has launched Play 4 and Play 4 Pro smartphones in China. Both the phone do not share much in common, in fact, they have a completely different set of specifications to offer, though they both have punch-hole displays and 5G connectivity to offer. Also, they both have fingerprint scanner mounted on the side else everything is different between the Honor Play 4 and Play 4 Pro. They have different screen sizes, processors, cameras, and battery capacity.
The most notable feature of the Honor Play 4 Pro is the infrared temperature measurement tool that can measure temperatures from -20 degrees Celsius to 100 degrees Celsius.
The Honor Play 4 Pro is powered by Kirin 990 processor and the Honor Play 4 gets the MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset. The Honor Play 4 Pro carries only two cameras on its back whereas the vanilla Honor Play 4 comes with four rear cameras. The Honor 4 Pro, however, has two front cameras whereas the Honor Play has a single selfie camera houses inside a single punch-hole.
The Honor Play 4 Pro has a 40MP Sony IMX600 main sensor that captures 40% more light than traditional sensors and can boost its ISO to 204,800. The second camera offers a 3x optical zoom. It has OIS and takes 8MP photos. It can record 4K/60fps video.
The Honor Play 4 has a larger screen size of 6.81-inches and an IPS LCD display panel with full HD Plus resolution. It has a single 16MP front camera. The main rear camera packs 64MP with 1/1.7 aperture and it has been optimized for higher resolution rather than low-light performance. Other cameras in the set are an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The main camera can record 4K video but it is capped at 30fps.

The Honor Play 4 Pro is priced at CNY 2,900 ($410) for the only 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It comes in Blue and Black color options. The Honor Play 4, on the other hand, is priced at CNY 2,000 ($280) and it also comes in Blue and Black color options. Both the phones are currently available for pre-orders. Both the phones will soon be available in opalescent white color soon.
