05 June 2020 0

Galaxy Fold, Samsung’s first-ever foldable smartphone has received a new update that brings June security patch alongside a couple of new features as well. The new update has rolled out to all the unlocked international variants (SM-F900F) with a build number of F900FXXS3BTE1.

It is an OTA update and should reach your Galaxy Fold soon, however, if you still wish to check it manually then head over to the Settings from where you can choose Software update and know the status of the update. If the update has arrived you can choose Download and Install to let it installed on your phone.

According to the RPRNA tech publication which first reported the update, the changelog of the new OTA is similar to what the previous software update arrived with. The changelog lists the same camera features and filters, including Single Take, Pro Video, My Filter, Selfie Tone, and Night Timelapse for night time. There are also new features around the AR Emoji, including a manual editing tool and improved recognition of facial expressions.

There is, however, a new option to record videos in 4K @ 60fps from the front-facing camera.

At the time of writing the same update has come to the 5G version of the Galaxy Fold as well.
