Vivo Z5x launched with SD 712 chipset and triple rear cameras

09 June 2020 0

Vivo has launched a new mid-range smartphone Vivo Z5x in China. It is exactly the same phone as last year's Vivo Z5x except for the difference in the processor. The team has made use of a new chipset to deliver better and faster performance to keep up with the needs of users in 2020.

The new Vivo Z5x sports a 6.53-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It has a punch-hole in the top left corner that houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor which is an upgrade over Snapdragon 710 used in the predecessor. There are 6GB and 8GB RAM variants but only a single 128GB storage option.

The rear camera setup includes a 16-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel camera. It features a 5,000mAh battery to keep the lights on which is supported by 18W fast charging. For some odd reasons, Vivo has decided to ship the phone with Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie. The fingerprint scanner is present on the back panel.

Vivo Z5x Pricing:

  • 6GB/128GB for CNY 1,398 (about $198)
  • 8GB/128GB for CNY 1,598 (about $226)

The smartphone will be available in Symphony, Aurora, and Phantom Black color variants. The good thing is that it is already available for purchase in China.
