UPDATE (August 3rd, 2020):
The alleged Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition has emerged in a new render shared by notable tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks). The render shows the device's front panel with an Infinity-O display panel. It means the panel has a centered punch-hole that will house a single front camera. It is a design similar to the Galaxy S20+ but there are no curved edges. This is expected considering the price cuts need to be made for keeping the pricing low.

A new report on a Dutch publication GalaxyClub.nl claims the battery capacity of the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is 4,500mAh. The publication has actually deduced the amount of typical battery capacity from the rated capacity and that is 4,370mAh. The site mentions the same amount of rated capacity is available in the Galaxy S20 Plus as well, so it can be said that the typical battery capacity is 4,500mAh.
The report also states that the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition has EB-BG781ABY as model number and it will arrive in different color options. According to the publication, the phone will bear green, white, red, and orange color variants.
UPDATE (July 16th, 2020):
The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is tipped to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. Earlier this year, Samsung introduced Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite as toned-down variants of their respective flagships. These were meant to allow users to access premium features that Samsung has to offer without having to break the bank. It went on to release Galaxy S20 series later and if you were hoping for another "lite" model release, this new report is for you.
As per SamMobile's sources, Samsung has started working on an affordable Galaxy S20 variant. It is internally referred to as the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE) and is said to "take over" the Galaxy S Lite lineup. It is not clear but it seems like Samsung is set to change the naming scheme for the budget smartphone lineup.
It is expected to arrive in two models spread across three variants. The two models feature model number SM-G780 for the global version and SM-G781 for the U.S. version. The global model will offer both 5G and non-5G options but the U.S. model will be only 5G capable model. It will ship with One UI 2.5 based on Android 10 which is set for unveiling alongside Galaxy Note 20 on August 5th.
In terms of technical specifications, there is expected to be at least 128GB of onboard storage. The choice of processor could be Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 considering Samsung opted for Qualcomm chipset for the Lite models. Similarly, the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is expected to get priced in a similar way. The release is speculated to be around CES 2021 i.e. January 2021 which is also the time when Samsung took wraps off the Lite models.
Probably January for CES and S20 Lite. Like S10 Lite.— Max Weinbach (@MaxWinebach) June 9, 2020
