Keeping up with the needs of work from home users and virtual meetings, Google Meet has undergone a number of important changes. It added support for Tiled view about a couple of months ago that showed up to 16 people in a single view. The same Tiled view on Meet has now been updated to support presentations.
The change has been implemented by keeping in mind that presentations are an integral part of most office meetings. They allow people to better express their reports, vision, and plans for the future. Google Meet will now show the presentation tile in the center and in a bigger size so that it gets all the attention. All the participants (up to 16) will be divided across two rows of multiple tiles placed towards the bottom of the screen.
Google says most active participants will be visible either to the side or at the bottom. The updated version will further allow users to set a default layout. Once a layout is selected, it will be applicable for all future meetings until and unless it is changed. Lastly, the team has made some slight tweaks to do better utilization of screen space while holding meetings,
These new features are available for all G Suite and personal Google account holders. The rollout has already begun and if you are not seeing it already, it is better to wait for some time.
