Galaxy Note 20 tipped to feature flat display with 60Hz refresh rate

18 June 2020 0

Samsung's Galaxy Note series is well-known for its premium display panels with best of the line capabilities. It is rumored to follow the trend with the Galaxy Note 20 Plus but as far as the standard edition is concerned, it seems like buyers will have to settle for less than the best. A new leak claims that the Galaxy Note 20 will arrive with a 60Hz refresh rate and flat display panel.

Ice Universe, a well-known tipster about Samsung products, has tweeted the new leak while expressing disappointment on the matter. He says that the Galaxy Note 20 will sport a Full HD display panel with a 60Hz refresh rate and wide frame. It will also be a flat panel with no curves on the edges as we have seen with different premium devices.

The information about the standard variant getting restricted to a 60Hz flat-panel surfaced in a last month leak as well. It is speculated that Samsung is doing so to make buyers go for the more expensive "Plus" model. It should be noted that the premium variant has been referred to as Galaxy Note 20 Ultra by the tipster. It seems like there is currently no consensus regarding the name of the expensive variant.

Even if we go through all the rumors and leaks so far, the Galaxy Note 20 Plus/Ultra is turning out to be a way more feature-rich smartphone. There is undoubtedly a significant difference between the two devices. We should wait for further information before forming any strong opinion about these devices.
