A lot is circulating around iPhone 12 and a lot is still to be known. Some early reports have revealed what the new iPhone models are going to include and some experts have even managed to predict the look of them using some leaked CAD designs. Recently, we saw CAD drawings of the upcoming models that predicted a near-final look and now the latest dummy models appear no different as they also aim to pose a possible ultimate look.
A tipster who goes by the name Sonny Dickson on Twitter has shared the dummy models of the upcoming iPhone 5G. The images show there are three iPhone models, one with a 5.4-inch display, another with a 6.1-inch display, and the third version carrying a 6.7-inch display. All of these models are showing triple rear cameras.
Here are the first iPhone 12 dummies: 3 sizes (5.4, 6.1, 6.7). Flat edges, 3 cameras on the bump like recent molds. Notch, cameras should not be taken 100%, but chassis promising. pic.twitter.com/fcw3bLhVEF— Sonny Dickson (@SonnyDickson) June 21, 2020
Another two pictures show the ports and locations of buttons and holes. This could be our first-ever look at the possible final design of iPhone models because this is the phase when Apple provides the relevant information to case makers so that the associated cases become ready during the availability. Smartphone manufacturers offer only those pieces of information that are desired to build a case. These dummies could only offer a nearly possible look of any devices and you may not get any further information, for instance, the size of the notch, which is not necessary to be known to a case maker.
Well, we might be making a conjecture here in saying that Apple must have decided the final look of its upcoming iPhone models. This is because we are just a few months away from the launch and if Apple has to meet its self-imposed deadlines, the design of the iPhone models should better be ready.
In related news, DigiTimes is reporting that the 5nm chips by TSMC will enter production later in June for Apple’s custom-designed A14 processor and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X60 modem. The report corroborates the previous report that stated Apple iPhone 12 models may use the Snapdragon X60 model rather than the X55 modem.
