If you might remember, Samsung unveiled a budget smartphone named Galaxy A01 late last year. It is a phone that offers entry-level specifications and costs just over $100. The company is now reportedly working on a new variant of the phone that will be called Galaxy A01 Core. It has been spotted at Google Play Console as well as Bluetooth certification websites.
As per the listing, the Galaxy A01 Core will sport an HD display with 1480 x 720 pixels resolution. The accompanying image shows a design with thick bezels which is not surprising considering its target audience. It will have a MediaTek MT6739WW processor paired with only 1GB of RAM. This shows that one should not expect anything powerful from this phone. It is likely to be a good choice for those who want Android and perform only basic tasks.
The camera specifications are unknown but we are expecting it will have a single shooter on the back as well as on the front. The listing does confirm that the phone will run Android 10 out of the box. We are speculating that it will likely be Android 10 (Go edition) as it is specifically meant for such low-power smartphones.
The Galaxy A01 Core has also received its mandatory Bluetooth certification. This means we are getting closer to the official launch. We will keep you posted on all the future developments around the smartphone.
