Huawei Mate 40 series leak: 90Hz display, no in-display selfie cameras

30 June 2020 0

Huawei has two lineups of flagship smartphones, P series and Mate series, which are released in the first and second half the year respectively. It has launched the Huawei P40 lineup as the newest offering and is now working on the Mate 40 family. We have already started to hear rumors about the upcoming phones and now, there are fresh reports making some new claims.

The first rumor is that the Huawei Mate 40 series will have 90Hz display panels. This is in contrast to previous reports about a higher 120Hz refresh rate. The latest information has been shared by tipster @RODENT950 who claims that Huawei is following P40 series phones in terms of refresh rate and display resolution.

The second leak is coming from a Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station who has also denied an earlier claim. He mentions that the Mate 40 series phones will not have under-display front cameras. This is something that was mentioned in earlier reports and got people exciting about phones. He adds that he has held an engineering sample of the phone in person and thus can confirm the lack of any such camera technology.

Both of these details are just leaks at the moment which is the reason we would suggest you take these with a pinch of salt. These claims can always change with time and by the time Mate 40 series gets official.

The Huawei Mate 40 isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
