Honor X10 Max, Honor 30 Lite with 5G support unveiled in China

Honor has launched two new 5G capable smartphones in China: Honor X10 Max and Honor 30 Lite aka Youth Edition. The first one is an enhanced variant of the Honor X10 5G and the latter one is the newest member of the Honor 30 family. Both of these are essentially mid-range phones for relatively affordable pricing.

Honor X10 Max

The Honor X10 Max sports a 7.09-inch Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with a dotted notch. Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G processor with Mali G57 GPU. The phone has been released in three configurations with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB onboard storage.

The back panel of the phone features a triple camera setup including a 48-megapixel primary sensor. The other two cameras sensors are 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel. It further offers electrical image stabilization (EIS) and digital zoom. The front camera is an 8-megapixel sensor that is housed within the notch.


The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for fast charging. It will run EMUI 10.1.1 based on Android 10 out of the box. Other features include USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. There are three color options called Probing Black, Racing Blue, and Lightspeed Silver.

Honor X10 Max Pricing:

  • 6GB RAM with 64GB storage for CNY 1,899 (about $269)
  • 6GB RAM with 128GB storage for CNY 2,099 (about $297)
  • 8GB RAM with 128GB storage for CNY 2,499 (about $354)
Honor 30 Lite

The Honor 30 Lite is a smartphone with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) LCD notched display. It also has the same processor as the Honor X10 Max i.e. MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G. There are three configuration variants but with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB onboard storage.

The back panel features a 48-megapixel main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture. There is a 16-megapixel front camera housed within the notch for taking selfies and attending video calls. The battery capacity is 4,000mAh with support for fast charging.

It will run Magic UI 3.1 based on Android 10 out of the box. It also has a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Honor 30 Lite Pricing:

  • 6GB RAM with 64GB storage for CNY 1,699 (about $240)
  • 6GB RAM with 128GB storage for CNY 1,899 (about $269)
  • 8GB RAM with 128GB storage for CNY 2,199 (about $311)
