Poco has finally launched the Poco M2 Pro phone in India after much anticipation. Unlike others, Poco is moving forward at a slow pace but it is not too slow to stay in the competition. Its first Poco F1 phone was a hit and grabbed much appreciation from the buyers. It took Poco some time to revive its product line but gradually, it seems to have picked up the grip of the market. Poco at the brief launch of its new product M2 Pro touted that the company believes that “launching one high-quality product is better than multiple rushed products.” And, this is why we do not see frequent launches from the company.
Poco took a different approach this time while launching its new phone online. It roped in some tech reviewers from India and introduced its new phone M2 Pro. To grab some more attention, Poco also claimed that its all phones are "100% Made in India" and even rendered a song to reflect its sentiments for the country.
Poco M2 Pro is essentially a mid-range phone that is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor. Poco started talking about the merits of having the Snapdragon 720G in a device. It pointed out the performance gains that the processor brings with itself over the predecessor.
While pointing out the Adreno 618 GPU, YouTuber from iGyaan mentions that the device should be able to most of the gaming without any issue. The processor is accompanied by up to 6GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage that can be expanded further using a microSD card slot.
Poco touts that Snapdragon 720G chipset includes a lot of provisions for gamers and M2 Pro utilizes them to offer an overall good performance. The chipset also includes Snapdragon Elite Gaming optimizations that improve the overall gaming experience by enhancing three important aspects – Visual, audio, and performance enhancements.
Poco M2 Pro features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display and has a centrally-aligned punch-hole cutout for the 16MP selfie camera. The phone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and has quad cameras on the rear, where the primary snapper is 48MP, 8MP ultra-wide secondary camera, 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.
On the front, with the 16MP sensor, Poco is allowing you to use Night mode as well. Poco claims that this feature has been added after community requests. The mode helps you to take bright selfies even in dim light. There is a Pro Color Mode accompanying the back cameras that deliver vibrant and punchier pictures. Poco M2 Pro brings RAW mode as well which was in high demand by the users. The mode lets you do more with your photography by offering more flexibility in photo editing.
The Poco M2 Pro has a 5,000mAh battery capacity with up to 33W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port. The charger in the box can charge the battery from 0 to 50% in under 30 minutes. Interestingly, the Poco M2 Pro comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack as well. It runs Android 10 OS with MIUI 11 on the top.
