Samsung has made it official that it will take wraps off the new Galaxy Note 20 series on August 5th. The event is called Galaxy Unpacked 2020 but unlike in past years, it will be an online-only launch. This is because of the global COVID-19 pandemic that has forced people to practice social distancing.
The launch event is scheduled to kick off at 10 a.m. ET and will be live-streamed through Samsung's YouTube channel. The official announcement post mentions that it will "explore our latest ecosystem of Galaxy devices designed to empower your life." This suggests that there will be a number of product announcements spread across different product categories.
The Galaxy Note 20 series will be the highlight of the show as it will be the next-gen Galaxy Note device. There will be at least two models named Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra with both supporting 5G connectivity. A recent leak showed the design of the "Ultra" variant in Mystic Bronze color. It is speculated to arrive with a new and improved S Pen stylus.
As for other announcements, Samsung is reported to unveil Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy Fold 2 foldable smartphones. The event will also see new wearables getting official including the Galaxy Watch 3. Overall, it is set to be a big event for all Samsung fans from around the globe.
