Some key specifications of the Zenfone 7 may have surfaced via Taiwanese wireless certification. The folks over at MySmartPrice spotted device with model number ASUS_I002D, which is possibly the rumored Zenfone 7. The most immediately available information on the certification is the 5,000mAh battery paired with 30W fast-charging tech. The listing also suggests the Zenfone 7 will be offered in 512GB storage option as well. The phone is going to support some standard connectivity options as well, including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC.
It is currently unknown when the Zenfone 7 will be launched but we expect it to get unveiled on the same day when Asus will launch its ROG Phone 3 gaming phone.

Asus is reportedly working on two flagship devices named ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro. These will be successors to last year's ZenFone 6 aka Asus 6Z and will continue with the flip camera mechanism. The latest report is coming from TNNToday, a Taiwanese online publication.
The flip camera mechanism was first adopted by Asus last year when it launched the ZenFone 6. In this approach, the phone has rear cameras but no dedicated selfie camera. The rear camera module is capable of flipping and thus, the same cameras can be used for taking selfies and attending video calls. In other words, the same camera sensors are used for both rear and front camera purposes. This helps the company to offer a full-screen display with no notch or punch-hole.
The ZenFone 6 features 48-megapixel and 13-megapixel dual cameras on the back that flip to the front. However, the report claims that the ZenFone 7 series will have more sensors. An exact number has not been mentioned but it would not be surprising to see Asus go for a quad camera setup.
While we have no confirmed information about the ZenFone 7 launch, it is rumored to get official within this month. Asus has already revealed that it will announce ROG Phone 3 gaming smartphone on July 22nd. It seems unlikely that the ZenFone 7 series will become official at the same event but nothing can be said with a guarantee.
