Xiaomi was the first OEM to announce 100W fast charging tech that it is officially calling Super Charge Turbo. It has teased and talked about the tech a few times since the unveil last year but the first phone that will feature the tech is still a mystery. But now, a new leak has claimed that the first Xiaomi 100W phone may arrive as soon as next month.
The leak is coming from reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station who shares information on Weibo. The reason for the claim is that Xiaomi is said to have begun mass production of the technology components. The team faced a lot of hurdles during its transition to the mass production phase but it seems like everything is working as expected now. It started the process last month and if there are no new issues, the first phone should get official sometime in August.
The tipster further added that the phone will also feature 40W wireless fast charging. This is the tech that Xiaomi demoed earlier this year which means there could be issues with its mass scale implementation as well. If it actually happens to be the case, then the phone is expected to offer at least 30W wireless fast charging.
Even though the latest leak is claiming the launch for next month, we would suggest our readers take the information with a pinch of salt. Xiaomi has been very quiet about the release of the first phone featuring 100W fast charging. We will definitely hear from the company as and when it will get closer to the release but as mentioned above, the major issue is with producing the tech for masses.
