In the past couple of weeks, we have started to hear more details about the Asus ZenFone 7 series. It is the next-gen lineup of flagship phones that will succeed currently available ZenFone 6. A fresh report has surfaced claiming that Asus will offer different Qualcomm Snapdragon processors with both smartphone models of the lineup.
The report believes that the ZenFone 7 will be powered by Snapdragon 865 and ZenFone 7 Pro will come with the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset. The claim is based on the references found in the source code of an unknown Asus device with the model name listed as "asus ZF". It showed different clock speeds, 2.84 GHz and 3.09 GHz, suggesting the use of two different processors.
It is the listed clock speed that has helped the team crack exact Qualcomm Snapdragon models. Both of these are flagship processors where Snapdragon 865+ is the newest one. It was announced just a few weeks ago and is essentially an enhanced version of the standard Snapdragon 865.
Other rumors have already claimed that the ZenFone 7 series will have a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging. There are expectations of the highest storage option being 512GB which will be a lot of storage space. And yes, Asus is reported to continue with the flip camera mechanism that allows using same sensors as front and back cameras.
