Google Chrome working on download scheduler for Android

20 July 2020 0

The download manager on Google Chrome Android is not exactly the best but is still pretty efficient. It helps you manage multiple downloads from a single place and now, it is said to become even better. Google is reportedly working on download scheduling functionality for Chrome on Android.

This new Chrome for Android feature is said to be called 'Download Later'. It will work as the name suggests which is by allowing users to download at a later time. The download scheduler offers the ability to choose any custom date and time at which the download will begin automatically. You will be able to schedule each of the downloads manually.

The ability to schedule downloads can be helpful in various situations. For example, you come across a heavy-sized file that you want to download but you are away from your home's WiFi network. You can then simply schedule the downloading for the time when you will be at your home. This will automatically begin the download process at the scheduled time.

As reported in the beginning, Google is currently at the testing phase of the download scheduling feature. It is hard to say when it will make its way to masses but as and when it does, we will keep you updated.
