OnePlus Nord first software update is already here and it optimizes camera quality

OnePlus Nord, the much-awaited smartphone is finally official now and it is gaining its first software update as well. This is OxygenOS 10.5.1 and it aims to improve the quality of the camera.

The update is rolling out to OnePlus Nord review units and it is possible that you will also receive the update on your Nord phone as soon as you receive it and finish setting it up. You may receive a notification asking you to install the OxygenOS 10.5.1 update.

Those who received the update have reported that there are optimizations around the depth sensor effect. Also, there is optimized power efficiency for video recording at 4K 60fps.


Reportedly the OxygenOS 10.5.1 update also improves system stability and optimizes video calling performance.

The size of the update is 103MB and the exact version is OxygenOS 10.5.1.AC01DA.

OnePlus launched the Nord smartphone at a special AR event where it also unveiled its first-ever truly wireless earbuds. As many have guessed, the starting price of the OnePlus Nord is kept at Rs. 24,999. The phone comes in Blue Marble, Gray Onyx color options. It has a Fluid AMOLED display, Snapdragon 765G processor, up to 12GB LPDDR4 RAM, and 256GB UFS 2.1 storage that can be expanded further via microSD card. It has a 48MP quad rear camera setup. It has dual cameras on the front as well. It comes with Warp Charge 30T fast charging support and has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The OnePlus Nord is slated to go on sale in India and select markets across Europe stating August 4.
