UPDATE (July 27th, 2020):
It is now confirmed that the Realme V5 5G smartphone will launch on August 5th. Realme has even released a new teaser poster focused on the quad-camera setup and the punch-hole display. Unfortunately, the phone has been shown in the same color option as the poster released previously. The good thing is that Realme V5 pre-orders have already gone live in China with sales beginning the same day of the launch.

Realme has revealed that its next 5G smartphone will be called Realme V5. It is the same phone that was teased earlier this week on the Chinese social network Weibo. The team is now taking the teasing game to the next level as it has posted a bunch of photos offering a glimpse of the product design.
The official renders show that the Realme V5 features a premium design with a gradient finish. It is a design approach that has become common among modern-age smartphones. There is a rectangular camera module on the top left corner that houses a total of four cameras and LED flash. Exact details about these sensors are unknown but the primary sensor is claimed to be 48-megapixels.
The back panel also has big and bold "Realme" branding aligned vertically on the right side. This is something we have seen Realme do with its power banks as well as Narzo series smartphones. It seems Realme wants to ensure that people get to know about the brand even from a distance. As for the front panel, it offers minimal bezels with a punch-hole for housing the selfie camera.
The Realme V5 will mark the debut of V-series of smartphones by the brand. It will also have the fingerprint scanner integrated within the power button on the side frame. This is another first for the company which has opted for either in-display or rear-mounted fingerprint scanners in the past.
