Motorola Razr 5G (2020) leaked render shows what's coming

28 July 2020 0

Motorola appears to be prepping the successor to its first foldable phone as a leaked render of the same has surfaced online. The very famous tipster Evan Blas aka @evleaks has shared the renders of the Moto Razr 5G (2020) in one image via his Patreon account. The caption provided to the render also mentions the internal name of the phone that is Odyssey.

If the leaked render is true, we are seeing a design that is largely the same as its predecessor. The image shows the phone from three different perspectives. The first shows the alleged Moto Razr 2020 phone is completely folded, the second one shows how the phone folds or better it shows the phone has a crease-less foldable display, and the third shares the view where the phone is completely opened.

The amount of notch on the display looks the same, though the bottom of the phone looks slightly different. It appears there is no fingerprint sensor on the bump and it feels much smoother now. Also, the hinge appears to be unchanged.

The tipster has not shared any further details on the phone but some past rumors have suggested that Motorola will use Snapdragon 765 5G processor with 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, and slightly bigger battery capacity – 2,845mAh. It may include 48MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor, an upgrade over 16MP main camera that is available on the current Motorola Razr. Also, it is rumored to include a 20MP selfie shooter. The phone is expected to feature a larger display size of 6.7-inch and an outer display of 2.7-inch.

In May, Lenovo South Africa general manager Thibault Dousson confirmed that a new foldable smartphone can launch as soon as September.
