The LG Velvet 4G has quietly been listed on the official German website of the OEM. It is the same phone as the Velvet 5G from two months ago but with the difference that it does not support 5G. This is the reason that phone costs a lot cheaper and unfortunately also has a two-year-old flagship processor.
For some reason, LG has opted for Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor for the 4G variant. This is exactly what we heard in initial rumors and is undoubtedly an odd choice. The latest flagship Qualcomm processors are Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 865 Plus which do cost expensively but LG could have gone for last year's Snapdragon 855.
The pricing for the LG Velvet 4G has been set at EUR 499 for the 6GB/128GB configuration model. This is significantly cheaper than the 5G model that costs EUR 650. It is currently unknown what markets will receive the 4G variant but it is expected to be limited to the ones which do not have 5G network yet.
