Nubia Watch with AMOLED display, Red Magic TWS gaming earphones launched

29 July 2020 0

Even though the main attraction of the event was Red Magic 5S, Nubia had two more products to talk about. These include the Nubia Watch smartwatch and Red Magic truly wireless (TWS) earbuds. Both of these can be used on their own as well as in connection with the newly unveiled gaming smartphone. Let's have a look at these products one at a time.

Nubia Watch

The Nubia Watch is the newest smartwatch from the brand. It features a 4.01-inch flexible OLED display which is an approach similar to last year's Nubia Alpha. It can be seen as an improved version of the originally released smartwatch. The display supports the Always-on Display feature so that users can check important details by simply lifting their hands.

The smartwatch is build using an alloy of stainless steel and aluminum that not only makes it sturdier but also lightweight. There is a crown on the right side meant for navigation purposes. It also gives it a feel similar to using a traditional watch. As for the strap, buyers will be able to choose between standard silicone and napa leather materials.

Under the hood, the smartwatch features Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB of onboard storage that should be sufficient for daily usage. The battery capacity is 420mAh but official numbers related to the battery life are missing. Other important features include eSIM support, Bluetooth, GPS, and WiFi connectivity.

If interested, the Nubia Watch will cost you CNY 1,799 with an option to choose from Knight Black, Armour Green, and Flame Red color options. It is exclusively available in China for now with no words on global expansion yet.

Red Magic TWS gaming earphones

The all-new Red Magic TWS earphones are aimed at those who love to game. These come with reduced latency of 39ms so that the time taken for sound to reach the gamer's ears is minimal. These earbuds will work with smartphones, tablets, and even laptops as long as there is Bluetooth connectivity. It is worth noting that 39ms latency will be available only when used with certain Nubia smartphones.

The Red Magic TWS is set to last for up to 20 hours on a single charge. They are priced at CNY 299 with availability limited to China and no words on global expansion.
