HMD Global is said to be gearing up for the IFA 2020 event that is happening in September. According to some speculations, we could see several Nokia mid-range and low-end smartphones at the event. While the company has made no official announcement on the same, there are a couple of reports stating Nokia phones incoming.
To start with, the mid-rangers are Nokia 6.3 and Nokia 7.3 are expected to launch at the IFA event. Not much is known about the two but it is speculated that the Nokia 7.3 could use Snapdragon 700-series chipsets with 5G connectivity. There may be a 4G version of this phone to reach the markets where there is no 5G coverage. The Nokia 6.3 is expected to go for any new chipset from Snapdragon 600-series, probably Snapdragon 670 or 675.
There is one more phone that is said to be in the pipeline. We are talking about a new phone which is spotted on Geekbench. The phone is listed with the codename Wolverine and some key specifications. The listing does not mention the marketing name of the device, but Nokiamob cites its source and reports that it is going to be the Nokia 2.4.
Well keeping the name aside and moving on with the specifications, we can tell the device in question has a fairly larger screen which measures at 6.5-inch. It has a 4,500mAH battery and runs Android 10. Also, it is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 processor with 2GB RAM.
The Geekbench listing shows nothing else but the same leakster that has commented on the name also reveals that the phone is going to have dual rear cameras, where the primary snapper is 13MP accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor and a flash. The selfie camera is going to be a 5MP. The tipster also claimed that the device will come in Light Purple color as well.
Apart from these three, HMD Global is also expected to introduce one more phone at the event. The name of the phone is unknown but it has spotted on Geekbench with its codename GamoraPlus.
The listed specifications are 2GB RAM and Android 10. Also, looking at the description of the chipset, it appears to be the Helio P22 once again. There is no other information that can be gleaned from the listing. But let’s just wait for more information to come as we are still standing at quite a distance from the IFA event. For the uninitiated ones, the IFA event is happening on September 3 and will end on September 5 in Berlin. Not everyone is invited at the event due to coronavirus threat and it will be conducted in a different way.
