Oppo's lineup of 5G smartphones primarily includes devices that are not affordable for everyone. This seems to be the reason that brand is now focusing on mid-range phones. It announced Oppo A72 5G last month and now, it has taken wraps off the Oppo K7 5G which another option for those seeking a 5G phone on a budget.
The Oppo K7 5G sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a tiny dot-like notch. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor paired with 8GB of RAM. This is the only RAM option that you will get with the phone but thankfully, there are two storage options: 128GB and 256GB.
The quad-camera setup on the back includes a 48-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front camera is a 32-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture that is housed within the notch.
The whole package is powered by a 4,025mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. The phone also features USB Type-C port, 3.,5mm headphone jack, and in-display fingerprint scanner. It will run ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10 out of the box. The Oppo K7 5G will cost you CNY 1,999 (about $285) for the 8GB/128GB model and CNY 2,299 (about $330) for the 8GB/256GB model. The pre-orders are already live but sales will begin on August 11th in China.
