HTC has silently launched a new mid-range budget smartphone named HTC Wildfire E2. It is the same phone that was spotted on the Google Play Console website a few weeks ago. The phone is now available for purchase in Russia but is difficult to see what other markets will get it and when.

The HTC Wildfire E2 sports a 6.22-inch HD+ (1560 x 720 pixels) IPS display with a dotted notch. Under the hood, it has the MediaTek Helio P22 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. There is 64GB of onboard storage which is the only configuration option that you will get. The phone supports microSD cards for storage expansion but there is no dedicated card slot. It means the phone can be either be used as a dual-SIM phone or with expandable storage functionality.

There is a dual-camera setup on the back including a 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The whole package is powered by a 4,000mAh battery and it runs Android 10 out of the box. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port.

HTC has priced the Wildfire E2 at RUB 8,760 (about $120) for the sole 4GB/64GB variant. It has been released in Black and Blue color variants.
