Just a day ago, Xiaomi introduced Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra smartphones to commemorate its 10th anniversary. Both of these are premium phones packed with high-end features that caught everyone's eyes. They were unveiled in China which resulted in whispers about the global release. Now, we have an official statement on the situation from company officials.
A Xiaomi representative spoke to GSMArena folks and broke the disappointing news. He revealed that Xiaomi has no plans for releasing Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra globally. Both smartphones will continue to be China-exclusive and will not even be launched outside China as rebranded products. The representative did not offer any reasons for the decisions.
Poco, a smartphone brand owned by Xiaomi, is well-known for releasing rebranded phones that are originally launched under Mi or Redmi series. Many fans were hoping it to bring at least the Redmi K30 Pro to other markers under some other name like Poco F2 Pro. The official announcement has made it clear that no such thing has been planned.
The Mi 10 Ultra is a proper Android flagship with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. It boasts features like 120Hz OLED display, 120W fast charging, and 50W wireless fast charging. As for the Redmi K30 Ultra, it is an affordable flagship with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor. It also has a 120Hz AMOLED display but only 33W fast charging.
