OnePlus Gallery new update lets you edit 4k 60fps and slow-motion videos

14 August 2020 0

OnePlus Gallery is receiving a new update that brings back the ability to edit slow-motion videos on OnePlus devices. OnePlus previously removed the ability but now it is bringing it back for the users who like to edit their captured slow-motion videos within the native app.

Together with this, the OnePlus Gallery v3.12.33 update is also adding support to edit the 4K 60fps videos. Currently, the app does not support the editing, though there is an “Edit” option still available. But clicking on it a message appears “Editing 4K 60FPS video is not supported now.”

Previously, the OnePlus Gallery app didn't allow editing

The message, however, is pretty suggestive that OnePlus was already prepping to bring the facility to let you trim or chop the high framerate 4K UHD content sometime in the near future. And, it is finally arriving now via a new update.

Furthermore, the new v3.13.3 also adds the ability to cast photos to OnePlus TVs.

Here is the full changelog –

  • Fix issues including sharing photos from gallery, red color, and photo missing
  • Fix slow-motion video editor
  • Add photo projecting to OnePlus TV
  • Add 4K60fps video editing

According to XDA Developers, the update has started rolling out to devices that support 4k 60fps video capturing. You can grab the new update via the Google Play Store.
