We may not know what specifications and capabilities do the world’s first “mass-produced” under-display camera phone possess but we can take our first-ever look at it. Thanks to Ni Fei, President of ZTE’s mobile devices, we are seeing the Axon 20 5G device ahead of its September 1 launch.
The president has shared the render that shows the front of the device only ( featured above)and that is what important to us. As evident, the display of the ZTE Axon 20 5G is showing no notch, punch-hole, or any cutout at all, suggesting the front camera is placed beneath the display to achieve a truly bezel-less display. However, a significant amount of chin can be seen in the render.
There is one more render that has surfaced by a tipster on Weibo that shows the device from the back as well. As apparent, there are four cameras on the shiny glass back. The image of the back panel looks similar to what we saw on TENAA certification as well, confirming the listing was true enough. And, if that is the case, we may know some of the key specifications already.
The ZTE Axon 20 5G has model number ZTE A2121 and it comprises a 64MP primary sensor followed by an 8MP and 2MP secondary sensors, though the configuration of the fourth camera is not known. There is an unnamed processor that clocks at 2.4GHz and coupled with 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 4,120mAh battery.
It is unknown how much the ZTE Axon 20 5G will cost. We are still at a distance from the scheduled launch event and it is possible that we might learn about its price as well, considering the company itself is releasing lots of information on the device.
