Epic's FreeFortnite Cup is last event for iOS users with non-Apple devices in prizes

21 August 2020 0

Epic Games is currently preparing for the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 launch that will happen on August 27th. However, due to the ongoing dispute between the company and Apple, iOS users will not be able to update and play the game altogether. This is the reason Epic has announced FreeFortnite Cup as the last playable event for iOS users around the world.

The FreeFortnite Cup is scheduled for August 23rd where iOS users will be able to play with their friends as well as strangers across all platforms. The tournament will run for four hours where players will have to compete in up to 12 Solo matches. They will earn 1 point for every 3 minutes spent on the BR island, 1 point for every elimination, and 10 points for each Victory Royale. Depending on the overall points a player earns during the event, he/she will have an opportunity to win many of the amazing prizes.

Fortnite is giving the Tart Tycoon Outfit to everyone who scores at least 10 points. It is the same outfit that Epic showed in the Nineteen Eighty-Fortnite commercial which was a shot at Apple's iconic 1984 ad for Macintosh. Other prizes include a physical adjustable #FreeFortnite hat, an Alienware gaming laptop, Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, OnePlus 8, Sony PlayStation 4 Pro, Microsoft's Xbox One X, and Nintendo Switch.

The event is also a part of the #FreeFortnite campaign under which Epic Games wants gamers to unite in its favor in the battle against Apple. If you are interested in the event and want to know more details, simply click the source link below.
