A new report on the upcoming Galaxy S21 series has arrived that claims Samsung would bind the S Pen with the highest variant. According to The Elec Korea, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra could feature S Pen, a stylus that has so far been exclusive to the Galaxy Note series. The report goes on to state that the Galaxy S21 is codenamed “Unbound” with variants: M1, N2, and O3. And, only the O3 model, that is reportedly the highest model Galaxy S21 Ultra will only feature the S Pen.
The same report also throws light on the upcoming Galaxy Note series by stating the Galaxy Note 21 series looks undecided and it is not confirmed if it is coming in the second half of next year. However, the tech publication is bullish about the existence of the next-generation Galaxy Z Fold that could launch in the second half of 2021.
It also suggests that the series which we may end up calling Galaxy Z Fold 3 will feature an S Pen as well. This suggests the speculations on Samsung dropping its nine-year-old flagship Galaxy Note series could be true and the company may decide to replace it with the new Galaxy Z Fold series completely.
And if that is the case, Samsung would need to accelerate the production of the key components of the foldable smartphones. The report specifically mentioned the UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass) that Samsung may need to mass produce in order to reach an end goal where it could at least sell some significant amount of units. Samsung might not able to sell as many folding devices as Galaxy Notes but it will still be a good start.
Recently, a report popped up by SamMobile that suggested Samsung may be readying a relatively affordable flagship phone. The exact price of this reported phone is unknown but if it is coming at a price tag similar to the Galaxy Note series then it is better to keep one flagship series for the second half of the year. And, we think it is a better way by Samsung to narrow down to fewer and better options.
