HMD Global has officially launched two new smartphones Nokia 5.3 and Nokia C3 in India. The first one is a mid-range phone with quad rear cameras as its highlight. The second phone is an entry-level offering for those who are on a very tight budget or do not want to spend a lot on their next purchase.
The Nokia 5.3 is a notched display smartphone with a 6.55-inch HD+ panel. It has a dotted notch placed towards the top. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB of RAM. There are actually three RAM options but a single 64GB onboard storage option. The good thing is that it supports microSD cards up to 512GB.
The back panel has a circular camera module that features a total of four camera sensors. These include a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The LED flash is placed within the center of the circular ring. The front camera is an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.
The whole package is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging. It will run Android 10 out of the box without any custom skin. The phone has a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a dedicated Google Assistant button. As for color options, these include Cyan, Charcoal, and Sand.

The smartphone is already available for pre-booking in India with sales kicking off September 1st.
The Nokia C3 is a budget smartphone with a 5.99-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it has the Unisoc SC9863A processor paired with 2GB and 3GB of RAM. The two RAM options are available with 16GB and 32GB onboard storage variants. There is also microSD cards support up to 128GB.
The rear camera on the phone is an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.8 aperture along with a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. The whole package is powered by a 3,040mAh battery with 5W charging support. The good thing is that despite being an entry-level smartphone, it will run the latest Android 10 out of the box. Other noteworthy features include a fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, and FM radio.
As for the pricing, the Nokia C3 will be available for INR 7,499 and INR 8,999 for 2GB/16GB and 3GB/32GB variant respectively. It will go on sale starting September 17th via online and offline shopping channels.
