OnePlus confirms next open beta to let you access WhatsApp floating window in Game Mode

26 August 2020 0

OnePlus held its monthly OxygenOS FAQs where it gave answers to some of the most asked questions. The questionnaire helps you to gain some insight into the ongoing development of some of the features that OnePlus had already planned. For instance, upon asking about the floating window in Game Mode, Gary C, OxygenOS Product Lead answered that this functionality will be available on OnePlus 6 and later models, though the exact timeframe of release is still unknown.

With the help of this feature, you can access WhatsApp and Instagram floating windows while you are playing your game. This capability will be added with an update Game Space app.

The second question is about the overlapping of characters on Ambient display. OnePlus answered that this issue has now been fixed. Last week, OnePlus started rolling out a new update to the OnePlus 8 Pro that fixed this issue. OnePlus confirms that this fix is coming to all affected phones as it is gradually releasing the version.

One of the answers also reflects that OnePlus is still optimizing the extended screenshot feature so that the result does not show overlaps. OnePlus also confirms in the community forum that the bug that does not show the downloaded documents in the File Manager is now fixed.

Going further in the FAQs, OnePlus gives answers to one of the concerns that why there is no response when the users swipe inward from the edge to go back. OnePlus said it has already narrowed the area for it to prevent the mis-touch, though it confirms that it is still optimizing it and the issue should get fixed in the next version.
