Even though the pricing and an exact launch date details are still missing, Sony has officially started taking registrations for PlayStation 5 pre-orders. Successful registration will give fans a chance to pre-order the next-gen gaming console as and when it becomes available for purchase. The process is only for those units that will be sold directly via Sony and in the United States.
The registration page on the website reads, "PlayStation 5 is coming! Register for an opportunity to be one of the first to pre-order your PS5 console from PlayStation." It further makes it clear that only a limited quantity of the console will be up for grabs and only a few from all those who will register will get the chance to pre-book. In other words, merely registering does not guarantee that you will be able to claim a unit.
A user can choose to register for pre-ordering either PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Digital Edition but only one unit can be booked per PSN ID. The team will send emails to selected users on a first come first serve basis but after considering “previous interests and PlayStation activities.” The email will have instructions on how to pre-order PlayStation 5 but if you do not get an email, it simply means you were not selected.
Apart from the console itself, the selected users will also be able to pre-book 2 DualSense wireless controllers, 2 DualSense charging stations, 2 Pulse 3D wireless headsets, 2 Media remotes, and 2 HD Cameras. It means there will be an opportunity to complete your PS5 gaming setup before anyone else. If you are interested, click the source link below to get started.
